Dr. Jonathan Maitem
Dr. Jonathan Maitem has lived in Anthem, Arizona since the community’s inception. He is a husband and a father of two.
In 1994, Jonathan first earned his doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of Health Sciences, Kansas
City, Missouri. He completed his residency in both Internal Medicine and Emergency Medicine at the same time in the Chicago area from 1995 to 1999.
Soon after, Dr. Maitem moved to Arizona where he started working in the emergency room of John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital and Kingman Medical Center. Since 2001, Dr. Maitem has served as the EMS Medical Director for a number of EMS and fire department agencies, including Daisy Mountain FD. He is also an Adjunct Assistant Professor for the Division of Clinical Education at Midwestern University in Glendale, Az. In 2009, Dr. Maitem was named the John C. Lincoln Physician of the Year.
In his off time, Jonathan enjoys 4-Wheel exploration, musical theater, entomology and competitive marksmanship. He is also a rated rescue SCBA diver and Emergency Medical Technician.
